The 47 bridge over the Santa Fe River is located in northeastern Gilchrist County with the river being the northern border of the county.

A floodplane forest lines the banks of the Santa Fe River at the 47 bridge tract of the Suwannee River Water Management District. Other communities are sandhill, masic flatwoods, and bottomland forest. Portions of tghe tract have been cut to restore the sandhill community. Wildlife here can include Sherman's Fox Squirrel, little blue heron, gopher tortoise, deer, turkey and gray squirrel.

This is a primitive recreation site including a boat ramp, good fishing and some great hiking trails along the river.
